The cat that got stuck in the plastic bag.
A birthday pic for Pat, recalling an occasion when one of her felines got a blue carrier bag caught around his neck and ran around in a panic like a deranged Superman.

New Three-headed Cat-beast, Parts 1 & 2

I've re-fettled the background of the first of these Catberus pics, putting a lot more detail into the foliage, which I think makes the overall pic hold together a lot better, creates a lot more interest. And then I decided to paint a 'what-happens-next suggestion', hopefully putting an extra layer of intrigue over the whole thing. These are just paintings I've done for my own satisfaction, I'm currently working on spring-cleaning and sprucing up my portfolio. I might come back to these characters at some point though.
I ordered some new paints this week, waiting for them to arrive. Pretty excited about that, to be honest.

Mon
A couple of weeks back my girlfriend and I bought a kitten, white-with-black, whom she named 'Mon', for 'monster' and after the Japanese cartoon character Doraemon. He was tiny, cheeky, playful and unbelievably hungry for affection. But sadly despite the round-the-clock attention and care he received from Pat he was just a little bit too weak and tiny for the fight and he died at the weekend. Mon was ace, a proper character and he won't be forgotten.
I regret that I didn't get round to drawing him properly while he was around, but I've gathered together the odd little sketches I did manage in the days after we picked him up (mostly while he was asleep or eating) as a little mini-tribute here. Rest easy little man.
